Description

A pair of heavy Roman bronze lion-faced finials, c. 1st - 2nd Century, from a large bronze vessel, the faces frontally displayed with excellent detail, a heavy bronze loop suspended from the mouth. Both are nice examples with brown-green patination throughout. Both about 4 1/2 in x 3 3/4 in (11.4 x 9.5 cm). Ex German private antiquities collection.
